The ‘Island Tales’
The three separate 'Tales of the Islands' story-collections comprise a true Antaman literary phenomenon. Here, we celebrate them all: - the classic "Contos das Ilhas" as originally collated by Alfandega; - the "Tales Of The Islands" as retold and updated by Samuel Whitman Cooke; - and lately the modern-day microfictions known as "Tales For Our Times" as collected by Patrick Newman, Andrew Halsall Smith and others.

Myths of Pelagosia
These are the interpretations of various legends told since times of yore about the formation of the islands and how life here came to be. They were collected over decades, and then enlivened for publication, by Fernando Costa de Alfandega. Many of his re-tellings have become so well-known in popular culture that the difference between these adaptations and their word-of-mouth origins has nowadays become blurred and almost indistinguishable.
Les Grands Penseurs
